Level 4 lockdown | What this means for our community

August 18th, 2021

Level four – yep level 4 ladies and gentlemen has once again descended upon NZ. That means the following:

The staff of Silverstream Health Centre are all at work so you can call the centre as usual should you need our service. Evening clinics (i.e. booked patient clinics 5 pm – 8 pm weekdays may not be available if lockdown lasts for an extended period. Phone reception if you have any queries).

Patients cannot just walk into the medical centre without calling first and being triaged.

All patients needing assistance or who have booked appointments will need to be phoned by their GP and triaged first. Anything that can be actioned via a phone consult without breaching level 4 community rules will be actioned. Clinicians will direct patients if they can come into the medical centre.

Patients with any cough cold /flu symptoms will be directed by their GP as to whether they need covid swabs or need examination.  Patients needing to be seen will be seen either in the car park designated areas or in our isolation room. Clinicians will wear protective gear during these consults.

Silverstream Health Centre is fully set up for e-scripts and e-consults so patients can order scripts via phone line or MMH and scripts will be electronically sent to the chemist of your choice. Likewise ACC forms and WINZ form can also be sent electronically. Remember NOT TO PANIC about your medications DON’T HOARD. CHEMISTS ARE STILL PROVIDING THEIR SERVICE.

Any forms that need to be dropped into the medical centre should be put into the drop box outside our front door.

We will keep you posted on any changes as the situation evolves nationally.

Thank you for your patience and understanding -in anticipation.
