Note from Marko regarding flu vaccines
April 6th, 2020
We are feilding dozens of calls a day from patients “demanding” to be prioritised and have their flu vaccines immediately.
Though we understand people’s frustrations and we sympathise with their anxieties, we do not and will not tolerate rude and insulting rhetoric.
The government has a flu vaccine supply issue, as their main supplier has let them down and they have had to source vaccines elsewhere. They anticipate supply mid April in reasonable quantities and we will inform you through our website, facebook and text reminders when we receive them.
We were hoping to do 200 “car park vaccines” a day during lockdown but only if we get sufficient supply and on time. After lockdown we probably won’t have the car parks available so it may take a few months to administer the 3000 on our list. The 1200 at risk patients in that 3000 list will be prioritized.
Kind regards,
Marko
